I currently have a jdm type r and a mugen replica valve cover and im try to decide which one to put on. Its my motor and my girlfriends car, i like the type r she like the mugen so were kind of at a stand still so i figured i would pull some opinions off of here. If i go the type r route i have to get it powder coated since it wasnt well taken care of but im going the original red. I like the mugen but i feel like its kind of overdoing it. What do you guys think? Its a true ctr head so it wont be over doing it with the type r in my opinion since it belongs. Which ever one doesnt go on is being sold though sooooooo.... thoughts, and please no jack*** remarks cause im just looking for opinions.

its legit came with the ctr head, she finally decided to go with the type r after i showed her this thread. She's new to the car game so ive had to direct her away from things (chrome ebay taillights etc) but i showed her pics of how it will look re powder coated and she like it alot more. Looks like crap now, i think they dropped the chain on it when they pulled it out or something cause its scratched to hell and back.

 

Well then, what the point? Sounds like you're going to do what YOU want to do to the car in the end. Tell me, was her getting into the "car game" something you also directed her toward?

No i dont do what i want to do to the car. She wants to have a nice car that isnt ricey. She chose the rims, the paint color, the stickers in the back windshield, the seats, the steering wheel, the gauges, so yeah not what i want to do to the car. She got in the car game cause i can build hondas and get parts really cheap and she wanted something fast and easy to work on. Trust me you cant tell her to do anything. If you dont make her change her mind then she does wat she wants. If she still wanted to go with the mugen then thats what i would be putting on the car.
