Default 94 integra heater core/box assembly

So I'm doing a wire and brake tuck currently. Heater stuff is out for obvious reasons. In the pic below the black box in the middle is for the ac condensor. Can I gut that box and put my fuse box inside of it? I'm retaining my heat so would this have any adverse effects?

Why don't you put it where everybody else puts it?

Thanks for the fix. Tried doing it from my iPhone. Where are you taking about? I've pitched that idea anyways since I'd never be able to get to it. Still needing to know about leaving the box hollow though as far as heat is concerned. I'm going to stick it under my pass. airbag cover I think.

There's a tucked thread in the Group forums running almost 1,500 pages long. I'm sure you aren't breaking any new ground so somebody has to have done this before you.

I've looked through about 200 pages of it. After about the first 10-15 it just turns to Bs. I've asked questions in there already and never get answers.

I think I already answered this, anyway, yes you can remove the evaporator and install the fuse box inside the evap. housing, getting to fuses will be a real PITA, replace the housing with the non A/C duct and there is lots of room for a fuse box.

You could even mod the evap. housing, [install an airtight lid] so you can access the fuses if needed, if you use the evap. housing, don't forget to seal the hole in the housing the evap. lines come out of and install the fire wall dummy plug.

The non A/C duct is a lot easier and will insure full airflow from vents. 94

I'm just going to run the gutted housing and seal off the one big hole. Call it a day. I'm not dropping $40 bucks on that duct. I only use defrost and floor in my car ever anyways. It'll be fine.
