Default Burning oil

I don't understand it burning oil. There no leak, car is running fine. Belt, pump was already replace etc and spark plug. before I used mobile 1 full sysntheic(sp) 5-20 and was burning bout 1 and half quart every oil change (4000-4500)

Then I switch to mobile 1 high mileage full synentic 5-30 to thicken it up a lil. Seem like it did help but still manage burn a half - quart every oil change. I don't beat my car to hell. I am a heavy foot person so that maybe the cause.

Car doesn't over heat or anything funny. Oil pan is fine. No blue, black smoke coming from the exhaust. Under the car, there no drop of oil, look literally brand new.

-210
-5 speed
-04 ex

Any suggest on switching oil? Like 10-40? Or that way too thick? Any chemical I should put in while I do the oil?

Thanks.

We don't add oil every 5k miles oil change on Mobil 1 5W/30 on our 170k mile 2001 EX 5 speed. One quart every 5000 miles however is still good. Just drive it. How many miles? Rings are probably worn or not properly broken in. I would not worry about it. Just drive it. D17 engines are cheap if it comes time to replace.

It currently has 210k
Yeah, one quart isn't that bad every 5000 miles. D17 are cheap to buy.

Thank

On a side note - Stay with 5w20. There's no sense in making your motor work harder than it needs to.
