Default 1985 CRX HF 126k $1,950

SOLD!

For sale is my 1985 Honda CRX HF. The HF stands for High Fuel Efficiency and this car gets an actual 50mpg. I've been looking for one of these cars for years, and now that I have one, a great deal on another car from a friend fell into my hands which is forcing me to sell this car. The car is missing the front grill/nose panel. The previous owner also replaced the front passenger fender which is still black. The car is showing it's age, but most of the interior and exterior look great considering (crack free dash etc). The motor/engine bay look brand new. The car has under 126,000 miles. I just replaced the clutch, tires, air filter, spark plugs, and some other things. The carb was just rebuilt by the previous owner, but it could use a little tune up to get it absolutely perfect, however I drive it everyday with no issues. Virtually rust free!

-Alex

Bad (I listed EVERYTHING that I could find makes this car not PERFECT)
*nose/header panel missing
*passenger window had the felt lining of the front track come apart and it only allows the window to come down a few inches as it is block by the felt/fabric. I have taken it apart to confirm this is the issue and not rust etc.
*black passenger fender
*nicks in headliner/a little crusty
*body trim above and below the passenger and driver's windows has the black covering flaking off and surface rust underneath. This is just the trim piece, not the body.
*tiny bit of surface rust below passenger door lock where it looks like a key maybe scraped the paint
*the gray portion of the door is cracked in the middle on both sides, but is hard to notice.
*could use a respray or good buffing as the top and hood are milky looking
*The trip does not work, but you can hear it clicking.
*cheap aftermarket radio, this could be a good thing for some people though

The car will come with a spare $$$carb$$$, steering wheel, antenna, manual and all available paper work. It has a clean title. Did I mention that there is no rust?

Let me know if you have any questions, would like addition pictures etc. The car is a bit dirty and could use a vacuum in the pictures.

Located in Clemson and Charleston, SC and looking to get $1,950 obo.

It sold for $1500 for those that are curious. I think the "big attraction" to this car was the fact that it was an HF that was designed primarily for fuel economy. It has an HF specific transmission, carb, lightweight wheels, etc.

I bought it for $800 in non-running condition with a bad clutch among other things and put a ton of work into it. I remember reading an article a few years ago about how when the gas prices spiked these cars got towards $3000 for a well used one.

Just some info for inquiring minds.
