I recently just purchased a HMO JDM ITR swap from someone local. He bought it from hmotors with 20-30xxx miles and as soon as it came off crate he dissassembled motor.
it has a lot of things new in package such as.
Skunk2 stage 2 cams
hondata intake manifold gasket
arp head studs
arp main studs
clevite race bearings
ACT flywheel
New stage 1 axles
Cometic head gasket.
The head is fresh from machine shop with 3 angle valve job and complete skunk2 valve train.
The rods had arp rod bolts put in and pistons cleaned.
pherable chipped p28
my question is. would I get more money parting it out or assembling the motor and selling swap as a whole come tax time.
I want to keep motor but I bought it to make some money off of it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Keep it until Race Wars; it'll demand a premium then. I heard that someone sold their Honda 2000 motor for almost $100K.
