I have a 1992 civic hatch and I recently put in my cd player. Well it worked fine the first time, but when I went to go unplug it to add speakers i hooked it back in and my cluster lights and fog lights won't come on. I'm not sure how the idiot that owned it before me even hooked in the fog lights but I don't know what to do. I checked all fuses and everything. Even changed them. But still doesn't work. Help....?! Any input would be nice.

 

How is it wired? Hacked to hell or was a proper wiring harness used? I ask because if it was the latter you wouldn't have had to go back and add speakers.

 

A wiring harness was used. And the speakers in the car are only front speakers. No rears. So I added rears

 

So if a harness was used how in Hades does that affect the cluster and foglights? Never had that happen in years of using harnesses. And I don't understand how adding speakers can cause these to go out either.

Take a pic of the harness and he wiring you did to add the speakers.

 

something grounded out your factory "dim" wire for the stock radio probably. check the pin outs and try again

 

if you connected the orange wires disconnect them
