93 civic startup problem
I have a 93 civic coupe that had a z16z6 motor in it but i blew it up. so I dropped the only thing i could find into it and so i put a d15b7 in it. Everything is fine besides when I start it up the temp is always on cold which im guessing is because its been cold outside in the mornings. but when I put it in reverse it seems to bog down alot and sometimes just cutting off. Also sometimes when i start it up it bogs down really bad and i have to rev the motor so it doesnt die. and after doing that for a little while it is fine. idk if this is a problem that can be fixed or if its normal?? anyone have any ideas? it runs perfectly fine once i can get it going lol
These aren't old V6/V8s that you can simply swap in like puzzle pieces.
Why are you not running the ECU for the new engine?
Are there any CELs?

YOu pretty much stuck a non-VTEC engine in a car that is supposed to have a VTEC engine in it. Now the VTEC ECU is looking for a VTEC engine which it doesn't see.

I must say I'm truly baffled. You swapped in an engine, which is not really an easy task for a "noob" but you don't know anything about CELs?

One for a manual. Not an automatic. Also the same OBD.
Kudos for the swap. You might also want to check the mechanical and ignition timing and do a full tuneup.

No. YOu don't need a chipped ECU with 450cc injectors unless you're putting them on a turbcharged engine.
Get a stock OBDI P06 ECU for an automatic.
