Default is an aftermarket alternator worth it?

So like a genius i decided to hook up my subs to my DA without thinking about it now i need a new alternator and a new battery so i was wondering if it is worth buying an aftermarket alternator or should i get a capacitor or what i should do?

If you are planning on running a big system I would say it's worth it. Caps are garbage and if you correctly setup/wire a system you don't need one. I've run systems off a stock alternator before and never had any problems. Though depending on the state of your current alternator you could rebuild it and/or have it rebuild as heavy duty. I also suggest upgrading to a better battery. I'd look into getting an Optimum Yellowtop... Granted they make something better
