It depends on the engine... You haven't said anything specific enough to give you an answer... It also helps to search, but I can already tell that you love to make pointless threads.

Good for me, but so do you. You still haven't stated what year range you are talking about. So either look something up real quick and give an answer, or stop making pointless threads about stuff you don't have.

All this could be found through searching but look kid...

D16A1 no matter the year isn't a bolt in affair... the mounts are completely in the wrong places and there is no after market support.
The earlier ones had a sensor on the exhaust cam instead of in the distributor...
The transmission bolt pattern is different...
DOHC ZC - again what generation are you talking? It all matters.

You can't drop something that is OBD-1/2 in an OBD-0 car and expect it to run without changing things on either the vehicle or the engine. You need to stop looking in the "Wrenching on your EF" thread and start reading through the FAQ's... it's stickied at the top and all your answers thus far are in there...

Yeah man, you need to figure out what you are trying achieve with the amount of money and/or time you have. Google is a AMAZING thing.....If you're just trying to keep it cheap and simple I would say go z6 V-Tec or DOHC ZC but there is quite a bit of rewiring to do.

Well if you want a dual cam you have a ton to choose from man, D series ZC, B series, H, and K.....the cheapest swap in a EF is the ZC if you for some reason have your heart set on a DOHC. And you say you have a 90 Civic but yet you have a P28 ECU....that didn't come out till 92 in the Si's and Del Sol. Do you already have a swap or something?

its a d16a6 with a shaved head ,custom dizzy running race gas and the ecu has a little harness that says " off road use only" takes it from a regular d16 connector to the p28. this is how i bought it, and im not sure about all this wiring stuff...thats why im asking on this forum
and i would like the to put the motor that takes the least amount of changes to the mounts and all the other stuff

Well that would be the ZC swap, I actually have that in my 90 Civic. The ZC will bolt up to any D series tranny and engine mounts. But you got to make sure it's a 3rd or later gen I believe. Because some of them came with a front mount. And the one you want is gonna have a black valve cover. Mine is OBD 0 but the later models were made OBD 1. Or you could just convert it to OBD1. There's quite a bit of wiring to do, you have to wire up a resistor box, rewire the fuel injectors to MPFI (unless your's is already converted) then theres the piston position sensor on the exhaust cam and then there's some other sensors you have to splice and lengthin so it'll connect. As far as what you have, I would look more into your car and figure out what has and hasn't been done compared to the swap you want. And research a lot of what you want to do. Google is very friendly and usefull. Really dude, the DOHC ZC only made a extra like 30 horsepower than most of the other D16's. Just get more knowledge about your own car and research on the motor swap you want.

extra 30 hp will be everything when im running against integras with Vtec motors, i already have a mpfi engine in it its kind of a mut car. i bought it from a past racer and its pretty beat up so im just rebuilding it and looking to see if a swap is worth it..making a car hook in the turns is easy, but pulling guys down the straight is hard and im just looking at my options, ill post a build thread when im done but thanks for the help
