so im picking up a clean 87 prelude today and it has an a20 thats injected and sohc... i didnt know a series came with fuel injection so i imagine it'll be hard to fix and the tranny already has a bad 2nd gear the motor still runs good but im thinking about swapping to a b20 with b16 vtec and 5 speed b16 tranny my questions are will there be any special complications doing the swap im only paying 600 for the car so i shouldn't have any regrets when ripping it apart to do a swap

 

Yep, the A-series came in the prelude first with FI then on the accord. You could try and use the innovative mount that are available for the 86-89 accord but I think you might have to do some mods for them to fit. Everything else would have to be custom made (axles, shift linkages, wiring) You should search around
