well is this your daily driver then? no plans on turbo?
sounds like you shouldn't do anything to it, to me.
save your money for other things unless you're willing to put some money into it.

If the machine shop isnt very busy it shouldn't take more than a few hours to have the valve job done. You could mill the head but I would advise against that on a stock motor because it can cause other issues.
A valve job involves recutting the seats for the valves as well as cutting the valves to make them like new. It depends on how much you want to mill the head, milling it to much can cause issues with timing belts and timing.
What are you bumping this for? All these questions should be posed to the MACHINE SHOP. They are the ones that will quote you the price and do the work.
i dont want an exact price and since there closed i cant ask them im asking if someone knows about how much so i know what to expect
no its not and i dont want a quote from a shop in my area i just wnted a general idea i dont know if this stuff will cost like a 100 500 or 1000 and im wondering if someone has a small idea
How would I know what a shop in your area would charge in KY when I live in TN? How would someone in CA tell you? They can tell you what it costs in CA. Would that give you an accurate idea of what it costs in KY? No. Surely there are more shops than the one you're talking about. Call them ALL and get quotes. That should tell you what you should expect to pay.
I mean you stated in your first post you were taking it to a shop. Implying that you already made up your mind where you were going. What have they quoted you? Did you even get a quote? Why not? What is your budget? Why are you even getting the head milled/worked on in the first place?
No turbo? Daily driver? Leave it stock. There is no reason to get anything done to it if there isn't anything wrong with it. ABSOLUTE waste of funds. Even MORE so on the lowly Y7. Save for your turbo build. Stock heads (on D-series) are good for 300+ horsepower. You won't need any work done even if you went turbo.
I would take the advice given in post #5.
