researched problem with cluster back light and dashboard lights
1990 civic lx 4 dr ... as stated above i researched this and even looked at the schematic for the back lights to cluster and other components on dash.... im wondering if anyone else had this problem .. i checked the #8 fuse on fuse box followed the wires to the cluster and no use.. head lights work ac works hazards work but no back lights on anything on the dash board .... any help would be greatfull
this happened to my crx and it ended up being a fuse, fuse 8, ended up being a 15a in there instead of a 10. but re check your wires and pull the sockets out and see if its corroted any, possibly a short somewhere

if the fuse isn't blown then it's going to work.
if it's a larger number than what is supposed to be there just makes you run the risk of frying up wiring and causing a fire if there is ever a short.

DoeZ the dimmer switch do anything? (muh 88 has lil round **** + controlZ all backlighted dash lights, dark one all the way one way + all bright full the other way) Ifthat'Z not it,check if voltage present there @ cluster dimmer sw)
hahaha crazy stuff i jjust had this happen to my today in the morning when i was going to work but anyways bro i thinkyour fuse box is bad get a multimeter check for voltage on the fuse pins when you flip the lights on and check for continuity if you have continuity you have a short for sure or the fuse box is shorted out if there is voltage but no continuity it could be that the inside of the fuse box is done fried out or just worn out and you should just replace it
