its a 98 hatchback

i bought it like this off the guy, i was wondering how could i fix this on my own.

like what tools and maybe a little guide on how to fix this. Pro Tips, any help would be really good.

 

First step- find out what the hell is under that bondo. Remove the light and start sanding.

 

once i finished sanding down, it plain old rust.

 

Panel rusted all the way through I'm guessing? Only option is panel replacement if that is the case. You MIGHT be able to fab and weld in a replacement piece, depending on the extent of the damage. If you can't weld or fab, take it somewhere.

Or pile on the kitty hair bondo and slop paint on it.

 

no i cant weld i never really delt with welding and stuff like that.
more than likely im gonna take it somewhere to get it fixed.
