Default I'm pissed off at DC sports

ARGHH... so i decided to buy a dc sports rear upper strut tower bar, at almost s next to nothing price. Thinking, meh, even something back there is better than nothing. Well, i was wrong. I can't believe i actually bought this piece of **** bar! Does anyone know how to even make it the least bit rigid?!
That is why i give DC sports:

Look up at your first pic, the gold bronzy thing, below that there is a nut that looks to be up against the bar. If I'm not mistaken that should losen up and screw out of there, therefor tightening the bar up some.

ur suppose to turn the lil things on the side that extends the tie bar LONGER therefore it would press against the two bolts on each side and give rigidness. mines lost like that though, haha, i'm a lazy-*** lil shiet

you are supposed to unthread the spherical ball bearing end out of the bar to the appropriate length and then tighten it but thread the tension nut towards the bar.

I'm still not sure what to tighten?? That nut, is already as tight as possible to the bar. The ball bearing makes the copper thingy swivel..there is no way to get it to be solid...or is there?? Anyone have any pics??

lol. Loosen the nut, unbolt the endlinks. So its tightend. THen tighen the nut. As for the "Swivil" thing. Its spose to be like that. The force is back and forth. the swivil just helps it fit better.

Well ****...everything is as tight as they can possibly be...so basically, i'm still pissed because a fly can land on this bar and it would still flex. DC sports= hatred.

I've got a nuespeed, its got a similar design. I extended mine with the lock nut, and tightend the allan bolts and it felt pretty solid.

If everything is tightened like what you said, try adding couple of washers.. 2 on each side.. between that brass looking insert where you insert the stud to. At least that will hold the bar tight enough and reduce the play.

i think he's talking about the bar itself Night_Minx. i have DC bars all around in my gsr.... the rear one flexes even with a lil amount of pressure. my supplier says thats the way it is. if you don't like it go to ebay and get one for $20, those are stiff as a old man on viagra.

The bar is adjustable, you can sort of tell by looking at it. I have the same bar and it doesnt really matter if you get adjusted right or not it flexes way too much. Hopefully it was worth the 25 bucks I spent on it though lol, I got it because it was cheap off a friend, I think they go for 150 new
