2000 Red Honda S2000
Clean Title in hand
104k
AC/PW/PS/CRUISE
Mods:
Skunk2 springs/stock shocks
T1R halfshaft spacers
Megan front lower X brace
ebay Front lip
SRR Bumper releases
carbon wrapped hood and trunk (nice paint under it )
5% tint
TSW wheels ( no Volks )
Integra Front Seats ( No black S2000 seats )
Background on what happened exactly:
The car was previously turbo'd but I never got it tuned ( 1,000 miles on the kit/car) . The car would never go into boost b/c the AEM FIC would retard the timing under acceleration.
I decided to have the kit removed so I could enjoy the car NA but when doing so, the Oil Relocation kit was not removed. The car had an oil light on when I turned the car on in its NA form.
The car ran for 2-3 minutes while I tried to figure out why it wasn't getting oil pressure. I finally concluded that it was due to the oil relocation kit.
I slapped the stock filter back on in its place and the oil light went off. The car drove great and I went out for pictures. After taking pictures, I got on it a little bit in 2nd and 3rd and some into forth.
The car didn't want to accelerate any faster and I felt like something was wrong. I put the car in neutral and it turned itself off. I jump started it in gear and it still felt like it had no power.
I slowed down to about 10-15mph and I could hear the motor making some noise above 2k rpms. Got the car home and I'm not exactly sure what went wrong with it but I dont' really have time to fix it.
The car WILL turn on and it does not make any noise at idle - only if you try to rev it up will it make the noise. I have only turned it on once since this incident.
Price: $6900

What does the noise sound like? Is it a ticking noise almost like cards in a bike spoke? It could be the TCT. That would be the easy fix that cost nothing if you just sand blast it or you could always buy a new oem one for like 140....Now for the costly part...I would start out just doing a compression test on it and see what your numbers are in all cylinders. Write all of them down and then pour like a cap full of oil in each cylinder through the spark plug holes and re do the compression test and if they rise in numbers then you probably have broken oil rings which may cause piston slap and that would be your noise you are hearing. The piston doesn't have anything keeping it from the cylinder wall making it slap the cylinders just a idea to help you out so maybe you don't have to sell your car so cheap
