Can you put 15" rims on a 2008 Civic LX?
Ok so I know stock size is for a 2008 Civic LX is 16/17.
I see though that the 08 Civix DX was 15" (195-65-15).
Just curious, as I have some 15" 5x114.3 prelude rims with Winter Tires from a friend if I want, would save me buying a winter set.

You should be able to, as long as the spokes have enough clearance to the caliper. I'm not entirely certain on that combination, exactly. Have you tried test-fitting them? The fronts will be the bigger caliper to contend with, so if they clear up front you should be fine.
Yeah so I am not a technical guy at all... I called a local tire shop to discuss my options for winter tires and rims. They actually suggested going to a 195/65/15, said they do it all the time. And they said requires no adjustment to any components.
According to the tire size calculator, speedo difference is marginal.
For the price I will try it out, a guy at work has a set of gently used Semperit Speedgrips on 15" Honda fitted steelies for $200. I'll see how it goes.
