Default Code 16 put me out of the game....HELP

To start I have a 91 sedan with d15b2 and DPFI. In the past few months the car would not want to start after turning the engine off every once in a great while. The Check Engine Light would come on and the ECU would flash code 16 only. I would either disconnect the battery or wait a few minutes and it would start again. Just a few days ago it did this again, only wouldn't start up at all and didn't give me any codes. I pulled out the main injector and had my girl turn the key to on and fuel sprayed out so the pump is working... The fuel filter is new. I just got a set of fuel injectors, and a main relay from the junkyard today and Im going to put them in tomorrow and give it a shot once my battery is charged up (killed it trying to get it going)...

So what could the culprit for code 16 be? (possibilities) And now that the car wont start and doesn't flash any codes what could that mean? Is there a way to rule out the fuel injectors by doing a voltage check at the injector-in plugs? Code 16 is the only code that the car has ever flashed and I've always been able to let it sit for a minute and get it started again. Its done this only when warmed up... Thank you for any help or advice

you can always run the tests that the manual says to do for a code 16. if you already have parts though i would put the new injectors in and see if that fixes it...

I dont have a manual unfortunately money has been tight lately. I will try and google some more information on code 16. I was reading something on here about ECU ground wire being on thermostat, and I don't even see the ecu light blink once when I turn the key on.... I really hope it isnt my ecu
