Default 91 crx cel 16 consecutive blinks

ok im working on a 91 crx stock 1.5 dual point that wont start. it is for a friend of mine and he said hedrove it home one day and it wouldnt start. the cel blinks 16 times no pauses so idk what the code is and we have changed the fuel pump spark plugs and wires and no start. the compression read out 65 65 30 0 but the car ran to his house were he parked it so i dont think he blew it. any advice would be apprecaited thank you

i would normally suggest a leak-down test, but there is no point.
Your compression numbers are VERY low.
Time to pull the head and see what is going on inside.

i'm new to the whole honda thing, so idk, but based on an experience i had with a focus I previously owned, I still wouldnt be so sure it didnt blow. Mine did almost the same thing... I was driving home from work, and it started just running rough. I was about a half mile to home so i got it home, let it set, messed with it the next day, and found it to be blown... I dont know how it kept running to get me home, I guess it was able to keep itself alive on the remaining cylinders but that next day it wouldnt start at all.

Define "blew" it... that us the most worthless term I have ever heard...

D - "Hey y'all, I jus blowded up me motar..."
S - "dang Paw, how'd u do dat?"
D - "I waz done drivin n it went kaput."
S - "aw shucks, what went wrong?"
D - "duh discombobulator dun discombobulated I dinks"

Yes, this is the conversation that comes in my head when I hear that and engine "blew". My engines blow all the time - I haven't figured out how to turn the turbos off yet.

well i dont think its blown because we got it started with starter fluid yesterday and it would run as long as you were spraying the fuild but i still dont kno why it would have that bad of compression. we are going to check the timing tomorrow and other things i should check?

Make sure you remove all 4 spark plugs and disconnect the electrical to the distributor before testing any cylinders for compression.
Since all 4 cylinders were low, then maybe your timing belt hopped a tooth.
The more outstanding issue is why you have 0 compression on one of the cylinders.
That's a broken valve or something severe in the block.
