Well I went to start my car friday and it wouldn't turn over
checked the battery-its fine.
coil and distributer-also fine.
all fuses-fine too.
It sounded to me like the starter was moving ,but wasn't engaging so i went out a got a new one. (teeth on flywheel looked ok) NOPE still not it! when i try to start it, I can heard the starter and the cams move slowly,but it just wont turn over. i'm thinking its an electrical problem,but i can't find a bad connection anywhere.i'm not getting any codes either. Any advice? Fuel pump maybe?
its a ZC(msd al6,external coil,zc ecu) by the way

pull the fuel line off the engine to make sure you're getting fuel up there. then maybe check your injectors to see if they're spraying.

 

Fuel pressure is at 38 psi,I'm losing daylight so I'll to check the injectors tomorrow. I just tried to jump start my car,it did the same thing, so i'm pretty sure its not the battery. Would the main relay be the fuse box under the hood or the one under the steering wheel? Thanks for the advise,keep it coming!

 

HEy Bubba. How's the new starter?.. Doesn't help huh?.. Well it's obvious that it wasn't the starter. Because you didn't test it. Now before doing anything else. Try to see if the battery will hold a charge. It has to hold a charge of at least 9.6volts to turn the starter. That's probably your problem there. Good Luck, any questions, let me know..

 

NO luck-- wasn't the battery. The battery was a lil' low so I had it recharged; that fixed my problem with the lights,BUT the damn thing still wont turn over!!!!!

 

check your wires going to the positive lead or hte ground. mine were all corroded and frayed. i fixed that and everyhting worked perfectly

 

your timing belt might have slipped.....check this after everthing else.....my timing belt slipped....it would crank but wont start

 

i think it might ethier be you injectors or the main relay i hope this hlps.. i have the same problem kinda but if i hold down the key then it will click over
