I dont think that people would take your car serious. I think it would look like a hippy mobile. For me, when I do a car as a project, I really put my foot in it and wouldn't do anything to it that made it look like a clown car, or like a kid that doesn't have a clue drives it. What gave you the idea? Do you have pics, of an example?

 

My take: it looks ridiculous and cheesy and not artistic.

Then again, I don't like carbon fiber hoods either. I think all body panels on a car should be the same color.

 

i believe in tastefully done, clean and simple cars... this sticker bombing sh*t is rice. but to each his own.

 

I kinda like sticker bommed LIPS on g35s or 350z or maybe an evo/sti. MAYBE a sticker bommed lip on a honda but thats as far as it goes. Although i guess i do fall into the younger crowd so maybe thats why lol.


But those hoods are just plain ugly and hurt my eyes.

Only thing i'd ever stickerbomb is the wind deflector on a roof rack.
Everything else makes me LOL when i see it...

Except a paint job protects your body panels... Stickers, probably not so much.

 

I don't understand the point of doing that as opposed to just basecoating...

Also, keep in mind that stickers do not take kindly to clearcoat. Decals in general don't. You'll get edge lift, bubbles, crumpling, ect from the urethane catalyst.

i did it to my front lip and it got real old real qwick when you first do it its sweet but after a week or two your like wow thats gay

 

clear coat your stickers?! LMAO where do you get your info? thats the dumbest sh*t i've ever heard

 

if you are going to go to all the trouble, sand the paint and do a careful spray bomb job, at least it would look like real effort was put into it. anything looks better then 10 pounds of stickers

 

 

there are a bunch of good tech articles out there that let you do a pretty decent job with spray cans, and some decent spray paints, not as good as automotive paint, but with a little work much better then stickers

 

Don't do it.
