01 Civic Auto Drive Light Out
I've been a long time lurker of these boards and Lord knows it's helped me in a number of ways! I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue that I can't seem to find an answer too.
I have a 2001 automatic Civic sedan and the "D" gear light in the dash is out. All of the other gears light up just fine, "P", "R", "N", "D3" and "2" it's just "D" that's out and I can't figure out why. Here's a little background on what's been going on with the car:
I replaced the steering wheel a few days ago. While replacing the steering wheel the damn airbag connector got tangled with the wheel and I busted the SRS reel / clock spring. My stupid mistake... I got the new part, installed it, connected everything back, reset the SRS light and everything seemed good to go. Took it out for a test drive to test the cruise control and that's when I noticed the "D" light was out. I'm 99% sure the light was on prior to this debacle.
The car seems to drive normally, I did happen to smell an electrical burning smell coming from outside of the car, near the engine compartment, but that may have been me being paranoid. If I did, in fact, smell something, I couldn't pin-point it. It definitely was not coming from the fuse box near the battery.
This one has me stumped. If anyone has any thoughts, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!

Ok so I've been trying read more on this and it seems to be either the bulb is out or a transmission issue. Is anyone familiar with the "D" light out (not blinking) indicating a transmission problem?
