Thread titles MUST summarize the tech problem (be topic specific) so that members browsing titles can understand the problem without reading the post. Title edited.

wth is a speedohealer... If your speedo reads wrong figure out the difference in the voltages/resistance and get some resistors to change it up.

The speedohealer is supposed to do just that or convert analog to digital or something.

I believe the way the speedo works is the VSS sends a 5 volt signal that switches on and off, the speedometer reads these pulses and how fast it is switching on and off determines the "speed". So the speedohealer must take the input of X pulses per second, and either multiply or divide that by a value to give the corrected speed.

Really don't care HOW it works. I don't think it's an issue. They wanted to know how to install it was all.

Actually, the speedo supplies the voltage and the VSS provides a pulsing ground, the rate of which reflects the wheel/transmission speed.

Ok, I was having speedo problems a while back and I was checking the signal wire and would either get voltage or not, so I was close, the sensor was opening and closing a circuit.

And to the guy who said he doesn't care how it works: tough, but I think understanding how things work make it easier to figure out a solution sometimes.

It's not "tough". You were trying to correct me when It was clear that I didn't know or cared how the thing worked. Nor did anyone else in the thread. The question was getting installation instructions so that's what I tried to supply. Knowing how it worked was never relevant to the topic and still is not. I can splice two wires together and never need to understand a things inner workings.
