How hard is it to replace a starter in an EG
So my car is having issues starting. I checked the battery and terminals and there all fine. I changed the relay last summer.
my daily comuter car has over 200k miles on it now. It sometimes struggles turing over and it's very slow and sluggish turning over when i try to start my car but once it's fired up the car starts and works like a dream and the engine still sounds strong. it's just the initial startup that it struggles on.
So obviously i dont want to spend a lot on it since its old. How hard is it to change a starter? does any one have links of how to do it (with pictures always helps). I'm trying to figure out if it's worth taking it to a shop that'll charge $250 or try to replace it at home...
TIA!

"92lxsleeper" is right on point. Do yourself a favor and disconnect the battery when doing this. I usually skip this step but one of the wires is directly from the battery and when you are using a ratchet it's easy to ground out to something and blow a fuse.
A picture does help but if you look in your engine bay it's pretty apparent which bolts need to be removed (it's only 2 total holding it in). The tricky one is the one underneath the starter, probably have to "feel" for that one in particular.
