Icon2 Speedo/Tach Gauge backlight not working. Ideas?

My problem is my Speedo/tach Gauge backlight is not working. I have a 1994 si. The reason I am posting this is because I've spent a lot of time searching prelude forums and haven't come up with anyone else having the same problem. What makes mine so unique is before the back light cut out completely to get them even to work I would have to wiggle my key in the ignition a "certain" way to get just the gauge back light to turn on before I started the car. Now no matter how much I wiggle the key, no lights. All other lights work. The needles of the gauges work. The dimmer works and has no affect on the backlight. All the fuses check out as well as the tailights. I have taken the gauge cluster out and inspected the harnesses and bulbs and all check out okay. Could it be a switch in the ignition or the ignition itself? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thank you.

BUMP. Thinking it could be the ignition switch based off of what someone said on another forum. Think anyone can second that idea?
