attaching hatch lift to hatch
I just got a pair of replacement hatch lifts for my 1990 or 91 Acura Integra. The set came with screw-in ***** (for lack of a better term) for the car body -- large -- and for the hatch -- small. Unfortunately, the only logical places for attaching the things to the hatch each have a bolt coming out of them.
Does anyone know how to get the appropriate "ball" to screw over those bolts, so that the lifts can be attached? The bolts don't look like they are meant to be removed, and have the original paint at their base. They look more as if something can be screwed onto them.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like the bottom, [#37] is a bolt and the top, [#36] is a stud that needs a nut, [#53] both have covers, [#24].
Take a razor blade or or X-Acto knife and "cut" the paint at base of the bottom bolt so when you unscrew the bolt the paint does not chip.
The above is for a 90, so if yours is a 91 it may be diff. 94
