How much boost would the PR4 rods be able to handle with ARP rod bolts and king race bearings?

Why try? You can find a set of used eagle rods for pretty cheap these days

WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST COMPRESSION RATIO? WHAT IS THE MAX BOOST A STOCK B20 BLOCK CAN WITHSTAND?

There is no best compression. What fuel? injector? use? etc. That can't be answered until you answered those.

Well, depending upon fuel, stay with the 9.5:1-10.0:1 on average. Turbocharger could be about 15 different choices depending upon budget, use of the car, exhaust manifolds, etc.

Getting "ideas" is the easy part. What you do, is search on here for the turbocharger setups that you like and fit your needs. the LS/VTEC part is relatively easy, because they fit in the same category as GS-Rs and other VTEC engines; just with a bit more torque. The question is whether or not these "ideas" fit within the same scheme that you're trying to accomplish. Listing a bunch of setups isn't going to help you... you can do that yourself, as this forum (through Google as well as searching) has a TON of information that can't possibly be put on your individual thread. There are SOME basics, but for innovative ideas, you have to do the brunt of the work.

B-series turbo platforms have millions of lines of reading to go through. it might be easy to list, but there are just TOO many combinations to start off with. Once you post some ideas, we can better steer you in the right direction. You're a big boy... start throwing what you think you want... we'll give it to you straight..

a. Which "T3/T4"? Like I said, 50 different combinations that fit in the same flanging. for 500whp on "pump gas" (93octane), you're looking at 61lbs/min.. now you can narrow your turbo choices down to 10 combinations instead of 15. T3 flange or T4 flange? Budget for a turbocharger?

b. Depends upon your answer to a. A b16 is fine, but port & polishing aren't necessary.

c. Again, depends upon answer to b. 500whp can go from 850cc to the all popular ID1000cc. It also depends upon whether or not you want 500whp on Race fuel, Meth-water, or even E85
You will have turbo lag for 500whp, get used to it, especially on pump gas.

d. yes, Hydro trans is easier to integrate.. well, everything

Still got a long way to go.. Start looking at setups that have those criteria and go with those ideas as a starting point.

Thanks for the info! Helps alot. Im tracking on everything but on how to decide what turbo would be good for a DD 500whp TB20V on 93 Octane. I guess more or less what "stage" cams and turbo would I need to reach my goal. not trying to be a pain in the @$$. i think im just having a hard time phrasing my question. I want to get a bang for my buck. Long as the bang doesn't pop off under the hood...... thanks for the help!

Are there any advantages to doing the k20 coil conversion on my type of build?

Just go through one of those turbo ls/vtec threads where numerous people have posted their setups and the numbers they've made. You should get some ideas from there. I think one of the big questions you should be asking yourself is how long you want it to last. Like theshodan said, there are plenty of combinations you can go with, just make sure you put your money where it counts the most. Stock ignition will be fine for you. In order for you to run COP you will need to get an expensive engine management and ignition system.

You can't ask for items on your own thread. You need to create a WTB: thread on the hondamarketplace.com . Bumping your thread to find items is a no-no.

FWIW, its great you're getting ideas, but the two videos you posted say really nothing about what YOU want.. Yeah, the music in the first video is cool, but he shows no parts list, what its for, or why..He just causes a headache by moving the camera in every which direction.

The second video is very unique, yes. But STILL doesn't say anything about what you're trying to do here or express your ideas on a build. This forum is not like B20VTEC.com or CivicClub, or anything like that. Showing cool videos is great, but they have to serve a purpose other than that. Use the thread you created to make what you want, and not turn it into a facebook page.. k? ;-)

True I'm on FB I'll try to avoid H-T thread abuse. Well update I've decided I really want to start my build by sleeving my block. My homework found the B20 is notorious for weak thin sleeve walls that fail under high boost. I also found it helps to add a pcv tap to the rear of the block. Do you think its a must to run the GSR block gerdel in my case?

There you go.. something constructive... Sleeving the block is fine, especially if you're looking at high end power or abuse on a circuit. But it also depends upon the turbo setup you're creating. Have you ridden/driven a lot of turbo hondas at all? that helps with determining power level, and size turbocharger that you're looking for.

a bit higher compression is fine for off-throttle response on many applications. As for 1200cc injectors.. may not be necessary depending upon use.

Again, stop with the FB talk or belief that people generally act like that on this part of the forum.. People are interested in what you plan to do in a techincal sense, not care about "weight" or the fact that its a sedan. That's your call, and your car.

Now.. back to your BUILD plans. Stay on track here.
