As much as I love my ITR, it isn’t a suitable family vehicle in its current state so I am hoping to sell it to someone who can put it to better use. This is an amazingly fun yet impractical daily driver, or a great start to a track queen depending on your viewpoint…
The car has been to 20 or so track days and half a dozen autocrosses, but for the past 3 years has only seen city/highway miles. A full 90k mile service was completed early at 75k miles (about 9k miles ago), and the car pulls as strong as ever. I previously had a Hondata S100 and the vehicle was very conservatively tuned from a peak of 160whp/112tq bone stock to 178whp/128tq with the basic bolt-ons you see below. Mid-range gains of 32whp/30tq were seen at 5,800 RPMs. (Note the Hondata died on me so the stock ECU is currently being used)
In the interest of full-disclosure, the car has two known issues. 1) I was cut off at Buttonwillow Raceway and forced into a tire wall which hit the passenger’s side rear quarter panel. This is more of a track car than a show car, so I spent a total of $25 on repairs. You can see the results in the photos below. 2) Less than 1k miles ago, the transmission stopped accepting 3-2 downshifts with the vehicle in motion and has “popped out” of 2nd gear on two occasions. Also, reverse now engages abruptly/oddly. I suspect the transmission will need to be opened up or replaced in the next few thousand miles, but I’m sure this will depend how the car is driven.
Below is a list of the most notable parts and modifications that I accumulated during the first 3-4 years I owned the vehicle. Nothing much has been done since then, except regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance. The car definitely has a Mugen theme as I was looking for OEM or better quality and proven performance. The total MSRP for all of these mods is just over $10k…

Taking the time to read may be a bit of help.
I just wrecked my R, I'm currently parting it out plus I have a 99 miata to sell and if this is still around I will definitely be up for yours.
She would see alot of circuit time plus cams and tune with me
Glws tho.

Man I wish I could get this. Very nice.
Trans fix would be no big deal for me. Currently rebuilding a GSR trans with custom ratios.
The body damage, easy as well. Best body shops for Hondas' in the country. These shops do work for Honda Manufacturing.
Coil On Plug conversion would be a good change with an AEM ECU and new ID725 injectors to complete a very nice car at around 190whp.
