soooo i was watching tv in my bedroom at 5pm thurs. when i heard like a huge crash that sounded like it was coming from down the street. i look out my window and i see this red chevy truck swerving down MY street.
next thing you know it was all over the street and then SMACK! right into the side of my car. Then the idiot decides to keep going down the street and ditch the truck down the alley and flee on foot (didnt see that part but heard it over the cops CB)
its a total write off none the less.
the car was launched about 10'-15' from its parking spot.
the next day i get a phone call from the cops saying he turned himself in, the guy that hit me is being charged with, under the influence, hit and run x3, fleeing from an officer, grand theft auto, and breaking and entering into a garage to steal the keys and the truck.
officer doesnt know if he'll get jail time or not, thats up to the judge.
i gotta quickly fill out a "victim impact statement" which will make him pay for my insurance and cover all the financial aspects of how this whole situation has impacted me financially
OH and he was over 18, so its good on my side that he's not on the young offenders act.
i'll let the pics speak for themselves

That really sucks man. I know if it was me I would be devastated to see all my hard work gone, regardless of an insurance payout. Good luck and hopefully you can get another EF to work on.

That really sucks dude.
I'd wind up in a cell if someone did that to ANY of my vehicles.
Hope you get a good check out of it from insurance.
PS -- Ask for mental anguish.

Damm, sorry for your loss. Your pictures reminded me of my accident. I got hit by a hit and run driver on the exact spot yours did but on the passenger side. And I was in the car spinning like a top. Loaded a picture below for your viewing pleasure. If you want me to take it down let me know. Time for a new car a guess.
