This is my history/build thread. I will try and keep this as updated as possible. I apologize in advance for the lack of content. It'll move slow because I have a girlfriend that HATES my money going into my car. Oh well
And so it starts.
First car would be a 1998 Honda Civic EX. I thought It was the coolest car ever. I purchased if with aftermarket tail lights, then I bought aftermarket halo headlights and decided to post it up on the board. This was the start of the "jdm" scene for me. After looking through hundreds of threads on clubcivic.com. I decided the car wasn't going in the direction I wanted (already) and I ended up purchasing a set up 99-00 civic taillights and got rid of the halo headlights. I was in highschool at the time so that explains most of it.

Traded the stupid halo's for some OEM lights

Bought some 99-00 tail lights and also added the imfamous shocker sticker

Also somewhere between the lights I had a muffler welded on, then taken off, then welded on at a "JDM ANGLE YO"
I got tired of that, and had it put back straight on. I was started college and was driving my car around like that, and didn't have any money to put into it. I ended up hydro locking the engine in a puddle of water, and had to have the d16 rebuilt. After that, I started looking for something else to buy. I went the Honda dealership and asked them to find me a 98-00 Honda Civic Hatchback. The associate told me "I didn't even know those existed." Stroke of luck, I found out my buddy was selling his so I went and looked at it and bought it.
It was a 99 Honda Civic CX and I loved it.

Changed little things on it as time went by. Painted the wheels bronze, then black. Traded the GSR seats in it for a stock SI seat and a Recaro drivers seat. Polished the stock muffler

Drove it to school and back everyday. It started building up the miles, it finally got to 230k miles and I decided to sell it. I sold it back to my friend I purchased it from and He ended up swapping it.
This is how I sold it.

This is what I bought
2002 Honda S2000 Bone stock

Found a deal on some Skunk2 springs so I bought those and installed them.
Experienced the joy of driving a RWD in the snow with bald tires for the first time

I added a few little things, OEM style lip, shift ****, cooling plate, strut bar.

Got a big boy job and started buying things for it and autoX'ing it. Exhaust, Intake nothing too big

Got rid of the Buddy Club for something a bit quieter and ended up with a Invidia Q300

That takes me up to this month. I decided I wanted to sell the car for something more practical. Started looking at STi's. I couldn't really find one that I wanted. So I was basically wondering around the lot. Came across a GTI I liked, went to the bank for it, had a bad feeling about it so ended up not buying that. I have since decided to keep the S2000 and make it what I want it to be. A daily driver, that looks good and can perform well during autocross events and the occasional track day if I ever find a track close enough. So since I have a decent job now, the parts should start finding my way to my garage this winter. First and foremost I need a new soft top, then wheels/tires then coilovers and whatever else I can find.
stay tuned!

Thank you for not going with those wheels.
Yes, super light and strong. Yes, super ugly.
There are so many good choices out there for s2000's, even a set of custom powdercoated AP2 wheels look great with silver.
