Default Any Experience with Blox Street Series Shocks?

I tried searching and could not turn up any info on these shocks. Does anyone have experience with them or know anyone running them? I need new shocks with my lowering springs but don't have unlimited money like some people.. I've heard both good and bad things about Blox products and was wondering if these shocks are quality? Or should I just spend the extra $50 on a set of Skunk2's

I won't have to advise you to buy anything. Do your reading in the Suspension forum. Plenty and many of threads to help you make up your mind.

You don't need to buy coilovers, but atleast buy quality shocks.

Meaning, Koni/Tokico.

Blox products are JUNK. They are a knock of skunk2, which every suspension part made by Skunk2 is junk. Cams/valve train is a different story............

I have expereince with blox products, it's in your best interest to stay the hell away.
My endlinks weren't a year old when they started making all sorts of noise.

do it right the first time! If you buy blox/Skunk2 suspension you will be replacing it soon, I promis.

I will read around the suspension forum, not trying to come off as an *******, its just a little frustrating getting one or two word answers with no reasoning behind them.

Thank you for the advice, I will look into other brand shocks. Looks like Koni Str.t would be some nice entry level shocks at a reasonable price

I wouldnt touch blox or skunk2 with a stick when it comes to suspension. Btw the str.t's are nice, but much more than these cars really need. koni yellows are the way to go.

Sorry. I just didn't feel like repeating myself. This question gets asked soooo many times a week that it becomes like a broken record sometimes. I thought, better to have you read all the negatives things in the Suspension forum for yourself so you can get more opinions than what my experience can offer. Also there are people that can explain it waaaay better than I can.

I can understand that. This site offers so much information it can get hard to fish through sometimes. I try not to ask stupid questions (which enginez bestest) but didn't find any info on Blox struts. I will most likely stay away from Blox and Skunk2 suspension components. I bought my civic with eibach springs and stock struts, I know a slammed car will never have a 'comfortable' ride but I'd like shocks that will function properly with progressive lowering springs. I think I am going to shoot for a set of Konis. Thank you all for your advice!

The srt-t's are a good shocks, however, they wont handle nearly what the sport will.

A Koni sport is really a entry level shock.

Not that expensive to buy new, and can be revalved to do damn near anything you want them to do.
Or, be a baller and step up to the Koni Races.

What is your current suspension setup?

Currently I have eibach lowering springs and stock (blown) shocks on a CX (no sway bars) ... in other words, total sht lol. Right now its just a daily driver that I would like to keep lowered. I dont track or Auto-X the car, just run 1/4 mile. So I'm not expecting high performance handling, cornering etc. I just want it to feel safe and stable

The Koni Srt-t's would work well, or even the Eibach shocks.

While your at it, look at adding sway bars. Wont do anything for straight line racing, but, being able to have some fun on the back roads is always good.

Yes, my plan is to find an integra or GSR parts car to take the front and rear swaybars, rear disc setup, front calipers, and lots of other goodies.. that would be ideal

You'll need the knuckles too. They're different.

I am doing the same to mine. Except using Civic SI stuff.

Yeah I know I will need different knuckles (pretty sure I need EX or SI knuckles) will need lower control arms too for the rear, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, new shocks.. one thing at a time

For the rear bar, yes you will.

You will also need the back half of the front control arm, or replace the whole thing. Your call.
