How hot is the average heat in a car
the coolant is what.. 180° F? let's assume the heater core is not 100% efficient, 75% will work. The air will loose a little heat as it works its way through the ducting. That gets us in the ballpark of 115° F. Of course that's on recirc with the blend at full heat and at the vent, not the temp in the cabin.
you can test yours with a cheap kitchen thermometer in the vents. If you don't feel that it's as hot as it should be, check the blend door linkage under the dash and the heater valve at the firewall just below the throttle body.

I tested at the duct with a cooking thermometer and it was 140 without recirc and 160 with. I think my heat is all set. It never used to be this hot before i flushed the heater core yesterday.
