Just finished the Lake Superior Performance Rally last weeking up in Houghton Michigan. Finished 3rd of all 2WD entries.

Lots of DNFs over the weekend, and I almost DNF'd myself the second to last stage on day 1 hitting something on the side of the road (knocked the wheel all the way back into the fender).

Man the end seems so shady topping out 5th that way.

 

Well, it's a bit less crazy than you think. I'm running a 1.14 5th gear with the stock 4.4 final @ 8300rpm limiter which is a bit over 100mph, but still crazy doing those speeds on dirt roads. If I was hitting the limiter on an OEM 5th gear, yeah, I would need to check my pants after the stage.

Updated first post with a nice "kick" picture which was the moment at 1:15 in the video in the OP. Was totally a jump, but it was awesome one.

The notes called it out as a R5/kick (Fast Right 5 over kick) which a kick won't get you that far off the ground. A kick typically will do this to a car:
