B18A1 valve clearances & other Q's
I posted this in the Integra section but got no responses.
I recently swapped a '91 B18A1 converted to OBD1 into my Del Sol, and I have a few things I still need to fix.
The valvetrain is tapping pretty loud, and I plan to adjust it to quiet things down a bit. I got a set of B18B cams from a friend, so if I drop the B cams in, should I use the B18B clearances? Are the heads identical in these motors, cams aside?
When I dropped the motor in, I used a B18B intake mani, and the throttle body from an OBD1 B16A. I've had cold start issues since I put it in. It idles really low when I first start it, and I have to keep my foot on the pedal or it dies on a cold day. There are two idle air controls on it (I believe), which one do I need to fix/replace to resolve this? The one on the intake or the one on the throttle body?
Since the swap my radiator fan hasn't been coming on, so I bypassed the relay and it works. However, I don't want to leave it like this. The relay seems to be fine (swapped it with one I know that works). I've read there's a thermostat switch or sensor that controls when the fan comes on, maybe mine is dead? Where is it and how do I check to see if it quit on me?

i got a b18a1 in mt del sol its all obd1 it was obd 0 and i also got a taping noise but im pretty sure its a busted valve seal cuz a buddy already adjusted my valves and it did quiet them a lil but its still there
A few hypothetical questions:
What would happen if the wires were backwards on the coolant temperature sensor?
How would the car run without the o2 sensor plugged in?
How about if the IACV wasn't working?
How would the idle be if I removed the FICV?
