I have a 92 hatch with an H23a1 swap and the speedometer doesn't work. I got the car from another person, and yes yes i know, never take on someone else's swap project but I got to start somewhere. One of my buddies said the speedometer doesn't work cuz the swap isn't "done right". The whole cluster works like gas and rpms but not speedometer. I have another speedometer but just need thoughts and inputs from people who know.

 

Is the VSS plugged in?

Possible need to replace the VSS.

Other than that, engine harness are you using? Rywire or did you do the harness yourself?

 

I'll check the vss. It's a d series harness and the guy said he bought it
