90 prelude
i picked up a 90 prelude s in great shape.some very minor body repairs needed.just a few small rust spots. i was just wondering about an engine swap for it since its the carb model. i know i can swap in the h22 with a mount kit but i was wondering if its worth it.im told is a alot of trouble. need some help to deside if i should take it on. thanks in advance.
I have seen some nice rides done with the 90 Lude, and depends on what you plan to do with the car. If its going to be a street beater, leave the carb in it. I use a 85 with dual carbs on the strip. Its not the fastest car on the strip but out of 2 races with it so far, I have one trophy for it.
If I were to become more into Honda Drag Racing, Yes I would swap to a H22, even been looking real hard at a B20A3 and a B20A5 for use in my car.
Watching a friend run his 90 with the carb, and a 75 shot of NOS. Made me want to think about runnin some NOS as well. His car was awesome, but he needed some slicks to keep the traction off the line. overall his came out quite nice.
I am selling my car but its not due to the fact of the dual carbs. I am building a bigger project, and need the extra cash to get it ready for next season. The engines each are costing me $7500 and will need to be finished with the Nos Hardware. I need 2 engines, and 2 trans for spares. I am going to run in pro class soon, and need to get the chassis shipped soon so I can get started.
I will be listing my car soon in my Store front. Look at my signature for the link.

All I did when shopping for engines and the like, was do a quick search on google, and found lots of places for complete engines and more. If you cant find one I can dig up one or 2.
On preludeonline.com there was a person that did the h22 swap on one of their forums. I forgot their name, but he had great success with the installation.
Sorry i can't help you anymore.

let me know what you end up doing....i'm trying to get some ideas for my 90 prelude s....had to put a new (used) engine in it this past summer...just to get it running good again....blown head gasket on last engine...looking for a good swap, though.
Good luck with it! and send us some pics!
