Homemade traction bars... on EG
So one of my friends wanted some traction bars on his EG Coupe. He is JOBLESS! Soooo I offered to buy him some. He said "NNAAAA LETS JUST TRY TO MAKE SOME". So I laugh and say aight then. keep in mind these were made from ONLY SCRAP PEICES and a fluxcore wire welder. Cost: bout 10 bucks for a small roll of wire and that was it. So lets try to keep the laughter and criticism to a minimum because he is not an awesome welder even with a good one and he really dont give a F*** how his car looks as long as it is functional. And here is the kicker they worked INCREDIBLY .... better than the ETDs on my rex, and they cleared a 24x8x15 slicks. We havent had the chance on the 1/4 yet but the ETs have dropped from 8.0s to 7.62( only made 3 test passes)
Back yard mechanics, gettin' er dun.
Nice work for ten bucks, I guess as long as your friend is happy. Are the mounts for the bars welded to the frame rail?
