Default this one is for you autoXers

ok fellow honda autoXers...what size/width wheels are you all running and in what class. I'm thinking of running 15x6.5 with 225/45s simply b/c that combo is only .1inch taller than a 14 and b/c my 15s weigh a dainty 10.5 lbs! I'd really like to run something like 14x7 or 14x8....how about y'all

BTW, I run a DSP Integra RS.....and with 13's I fear I'd have to make too many shifts into 3rd

to be competitive in DSP, you have to go with 13x8 or 13 x8.5 with 235 kumho or 225 hoosier. sorry. you would do well with anything at a local level, but to step up, you need to get 13's.

Fix the driver before you limp the car The added width and decreased weight of running a proper 13" setup will more than make up for the need to learn to shift smoothly anywhere on the course, IMHO.

17 X 7 205/40/17 Kumhos...I'm switching to some 15s or 16s....big rims suck on the course...

I acutally have 13's.... To be honest I really don't need 3rd gear that often. The advantage of the shorter gearing is obvious in the car... it feels MUCH faster... First Gear is practicly a frenzy as the car winds up.... and second pulls very strong. It also help when coming out of a lower RPM corner!!!

I think I discussed this somewhere else with someone else but I believe your second gears runs out even sooner then mine right? Still the advantage of the small wheels is great. Just practice your shifting!!!!

BTW - I'm running Panasport 3-piece modular wheels that are 8.5x13 (can't remember the offset) with 225/45/13

I'm in STS so I use 7.5 width (max for the class)
