hi h-t i was wondering if someone could answer my question on how gallons of gas does the 91 std hatchback hold and when it goes to the reserve does it have some sort of warning light?

 

according to mitchell on demand it's 11.90 gallons or 45 liters if you're metric....and a no on the reserve warning light thats why it came with a fuel gauge

 

i think the warning lights only came on accords and preludes, basically the higher end cars...

 

See I trust mitchell pretty well but I've seen it as only being 10 gallons.

 

i know for a fact that mitchell is usually wrong on their engine oil capacities...and ive never put more than 10 gallons in mine either but then again ive never ran it outta gas im usually a half tank fill up kinda guy

 

I thought it was 10.9 gallons for Hatchbacks and CRX; the 11.9 gallon was for Sedans... but then again - haha. Also - no idiot lights for '88-91 chassis (Civic/CRX).

 

i take it your a half tanker too?...i grew up with gm vehicles and parents that were "thrifty" lets just say the money they saved on gas they spent on fuel pumps....i never got paid to put them in however...i think there is a child labor law violation there somewhere

 

Haha - I have never heard of this term "child labor laws"... and I refuse to educate myself on them!

Actually, I never let ANY of my vehicles get below 1/4 of a tank during summer; 1/2 tank during winter. I look at it this way: if I act as if those are "empty" then if something does happen/ or for some reason I run out of money - I should have enough gas for what I need to do. Or at least to keep me warm until I can build a fire, shelter, and drink my own **** like Bear taught me on the television.
