Default J32 starter ring/flexplate question

Trying to find a diffinitive answer on this. Is the starter ring for an auto J32 on the flexplate, or is it on the torque converter like the K series? Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey josh

The J series starter ring is on the torque converter.

And i found out the hard way they are different sizes on some years.

The torque converter on a 97-99 3.0 CL is bigger then the 98 up accord v6. The J32 out of the CL type is is medium in size to the 3.0 cl and the 98 accord lol.

Its messed up i bought a torque convertor for a 2000 accord and it did not fit the 99 3.0cl and was different then the j32a2 motor flex plate i had
