Default EG 1.6 VTEC help! - slight oil leak, engine revving on own

I jus finished a 1.6 vtec swap into my 95 LX. everything seems to be bolted/wired up good. The first time I dropped it in and started it, it was a rough start but it started, however oil started leaking from behind the crank pulley. I was told to replace the front main seal and that seemed to stop the leak a bit. However after replacing the seal. I dropped the motor in again. This time the leak slowed down a bit but is still leaking. I replaced the gasket the first time around so it shouldnt be that but im not so sure.
Im also experiencing at the start the motor is revving up on its own. I checked all of the vaccum hoses and it seems to be fine. I have a feeling it may be because of the skunk2 manifold. Im not so sure I wired it up correctly so any photos for a d series skunk2 manifold would be greatly appreciated.

Also any tips going further with this process would be great!

Sounds like you installed/are installing the seal incorrectly.

i took off the crank, stuff a flathead between the seal. it came off easy, then i replaced it with the new one. it may be the oil pan gasket seeing as there is a **** ton of rtv on it now

Did you clean the surface? Did you lube the seal in and outside? Did you lube where its suppose to sit? Also how did you put it in? Socket? By hand? Also how do you know you dont have vacum leaks? Comfirm you dont have leaks? And make sure all your vacums are hooked up to the right places. Also make sure your map sensor and tps connections are not swithced. Start the car and unhook the idle air control valve. Does that stop the self reving?
