Help! Where does this go?
Remember in my introduction piece where I mentioned I'd be asking really noob questions from time to time? This is one of those times...
Apparently I really, really suck at reading diagrams in this shitty Chiltons and after some searching I'm still at a loss...
Could you guys please help me!

-Black box directly behind the battery (outlined in dotted blue)
-There is a vacuum hose coming out of it (highlighted in blue) below the two wire connection, that was just hanging there. After a quick search I didn't find where it should be attached.

-I assume this could be the reason I get idle surge occasionally a few minutes after start up, until it warms up fully? My first thought when I bought the car and found that issue of idle surge, was that it was the FITV, but if it was, wouldn't my car have immediate idle surge upon start-up, instead of a few minutes later?

It's actually, called an intake control solenoid. It controls intake air noise.
What's actually called the intake control solenoid? The black box I highlighted?
You're referring to the FITV? Correct? It's on the throttle body of Preludes then as well... what I'm aiming to figure out is, what is the black box that's located behind the battery, and what does the highlighted hose connect too.

Yeah, that box controls a flapper down in the intake box in the fenderwell. Since you have an aftermarket intake, follow the vacuum hose to the intake, and cap it off there, then pull that box out, and you can pull the intake box in the bumper as well, that is unless you want useless crap in your car.
