This kind of breaks my heart, but considering that I built it in 96' and really rode it only 4 times, and can't really take the punishment anymore, I need to get rid of it anyway:

Here are some pretty cool on the fly adjustable light mounts I made up (they'll go with it):
I've also decided to get rid of the Bilsteins. I haven't used them in two years and don't see a use for them in the next year. If and when I get around to playing with shocks again on this car I'd probably rather do it with Moton's. These Bilsteins are modified to single adjustable and field serviceable by Shocktek - rates are 450F / 600R. The fronts have a trip to BW and back on them, the rears are unused.

I also need to get rid of the stock ITR shocks - I'll never have a use for them as the car is way past rehabilitation. They have no more than a thousand miles on them.

I'm going to post the shocks in the Classifieds later this weekend.

Someone with an SSB GSR would really appreciate that stock suspension. I believe it's still the allowable "trunk kit."
Bilsteins... Yummy.
Robert Williams, this has your name all over it.

Thanks RJ.
While the post does have a commercial flavor, that part of it is meant to favor members of this forum. The other angle is the sharing of pics of eye candy.
Scott, who will most hate losing the light mounts, that's one of the neatest things I ever made. We used to have max speed downhill firelane that had an insane drop followed by a drop away sweeper. With lights on the bike and helmet I could ride it at night flat out no different than in the daytime. It was also the turn that gave me one of the worst injuries of my life. I was riding alone one evening (in the light) and lost the front end in the runout at about 45-50mph. The hit ripped open the skin under my left kneecap (that's the knee that I destroyed on MC's) and jammed about a quarts worth of rocks and dirt halfway down my shin between the skin and the bone. I had to ride out and it took me about an hour to get to the hospital. The emergency surgeon was just about to sew me up when a big blob of **** blooped out of the hole. Realizing only then what he was faced with, he took another couple of hours scouring out the cavity. I was heavily sedated but concious. It was a hell of a night. I had to squeeze nasty **** out of that mess for weeks and eat antibiotics. I was in bed for two weeks and it made our apartment smell like death. Uhmm.....I'm probably telling you more than you care to hear. I kinda like being inside a race car with a roll cage now.....

Holy **** Scott that sounds like a hell of a wreck. Good thing you didnt go over the handlebars, if it did that much damage to your leg think what it could have done to your head/neck/collarbone.
ugh I have seen way too many nasty broken collarbones

I really miss riding bikes. But my lower back can't take the pounding and all of my riding buddies finally grew up (as did I). I've still got a decent road bike, but I didn't get on it all year. I know I can't give the time needed to be where I was, and anything less doesn't seem worth the trouble. Sucking, bonking and dieing is a huge obstacle.

yah i know the physical difference. scott suggested ITR LCA was lighter though which was why i was curious to the actual weight.
"ooo" stock ITR suspension would be nice for my DC beltway driver.

My scale weighs an ITR LCA @ 4.0 lbs and a GSR LCA (without any bushings in it) @ 3.4 lbs. I'd guess that they're pretty-much the same weight.

Thought I should mention that I reduced the asking price for the Bilsteins to $1200.

I surprised - I would have guessed those castings were heavier. Huh.
