Default Can anyone identify these? Grape rims

Seller says they are 15x7, 4x100
Notice the big chip at the top also, seller claims that is the only defect on all of the rims and that they still hold air fine. Thoughts?

Looks like some older wheels made by Prime. Nothing special about them to signify otherwise.

Yeah its a pretty generic looking style.. Only 15 inch wheel prime makes that seems to resemble it was this:

Don't think its the same wheel.. but I still appreciate the input.

Any other ideas? Think its going to hold air with that big chunk out of it?

edit* one more picture of them, doubt its going to help much though

Yeah they match up to those prime rims. Although, I wouldnt risk driving around with that chipped rim (tires expand a little bit when they are warm so the chipped area might be fine on cold tires but may become a problem once you start to drive on them) but thats just me. Also the paint job is not so good so try to get the seller to sell them to you for cheap if you still want them, just be careful if you put them on.

The only difference between the purple spray painted wheels and the factory image you posted, is that the purple wheels are missing center caps.

As for that chunk missing, its definitely a matter of needing repair/replacement. There's enough material missing to require attention.

Centercaps missing, and the end of the spoke where it meets the lip is totally different on the two rims.

If that chunk is going to be a big issue I might just pass on these. Guy was gonna take $200 for them with (3) 75% tread tires, and one worn tire. 2 Kumhos and 2 Michellin. Was thinking about cleaning them up a little bit, rockin them for a week or two while I tried to flip them for a few bucks extra. Might just save myself the hassle...

They're Ken Block's rims.

Considering I wouldn't pay more than $100 for the set with tires, I would say you're not getting a stellar deal. Plus, I can almost guarantee that no one would pay more than $200 for the set (even if you had the one wheel repaired).

The spokes on Type A's have a predominant bend near the center of the wheel. These wheels do not. Also, Borbets typically have a "Borbet" stamp on them somewhere.

Bottom second from the left is close but the center screw is not in the right place. American Racing and Ultra also made wheels like this style so it's probably one of those... they were everywhere in the early to mid 90's.
Seeing as the guy didn't take the time to mask off the valve stem or tire, I'm betting he did a shitty job painting them too.
