EK9 Hatch Replica Rear Lip?
Anyone have any pics of an EK Hatch with a replica rear lip? I've been looking into getting one, I want an OEM, and will get one if the replica doesn't fit well. But first I'd like to see if the replica lip actually looks halfway decent (Save some money :]). Painted and unpainted lips will do fine. Thanks in advance Honda-Tech!
The problem with a lot of replica lips like that is that one maker might make one that fits well and another maker might make one that fits like ***. But they're all just "eBay" brand as far as anyone's concerned.
So unless someone can show you their lip and tell you where they got it from, I'd save your pennies and stick with OE.
Also, this thread has no tech so it might get locked.

Here is a pic of my eBay rear lip. I painted it myself and think it looks decent. Personally, I don't see the point in spending $400 dollars for the OEM one, when these look almost as good.

EDIT:
Through my searches I've found that the CTR rear lip reguarlly goes for about $2XX. The used replicas seem to go for about $60.
This is another reason I hate the whole replica market. So many people don't even know what the real parts (the ones the replica parts are based off of) cost.
Assumptions are made, and that's about all. I've heard the same thing with some other parts. It's not just this rear lip.

This is what I bought. Then I paint matched all of it plus the trim for less that $130. They don't fit perfectly, but they get the job done. I wouldn't want to buy an OEM front lip for more than $200 just to have it ground off from scraping.

For reference (in case the link dies later or one doesn't want to click it), he purchased a Type R Style front and rear lip and grille for $90, Buy It Now Price. It's for a '96-'98 Civic, so it's the '99-'00 style front lip fit for a '96-'98 (so it's not even a proper CTR replica front lip sold in this package).
How did you color match said parts?
Could you describe the fitment issues specifically with the rear for the OP? Or even take pics, if possible?
Anyway, back to the rear lip for the OP. The rear actually fit the best of all the parts in the kit. To install, I simply drilled four holes on the underside of the bumper(they aren't even visible with the lip removed) and put the supplied bolts through. To hold the ends, I used two screws on the inside of each wheel well.
Here are the steps I followed to paint match my trim:

I am aware that the front lip is "wrong". I do like the 96-98 one better, but this was cheap so I figured I'd throw it on for the time being.

By comparison, I have OE lips (USDM coupe lips). The front lip fits perfectly and snugly without even using any hardware. The hardware required are speedclips and bolts on the bottom of the lips (front and rear) and screws in the wheel wells (there are dimples where these should be drilled).
I got my front bumper, front lip, rear lip, driver sideskirt and grille professionally painted for $300 with a two year warranty and two repaints (so three total paint jobs) included within that time. Painting Milano Red can be problematic too, since it's a tri-coat paint job (which my repainted parts also are; no shortcut).
The rear lip currently on the car is the second rear lip I've had (this new one is BNIB from Honda, already painted Milano Red) since the first one had the clips broken off the underside so it could be fitted to a '99-'00.
I know this isn't a hatch or a CTR lip, but here is an example of how an OE rear lip fits on an OE bumper.
@ReedMan,Thanks! It looks great! I have a DIY thread about how i prepped/painted my OEM Si Grill and Lip. I too don't see the point in spending more than 200 on a rear lip when i could just get a replica that actually looks halfway decent. I agree with most that I am not a fan of replica grills and front lips because they always look fake. Front lips are always way sharper and protruding from the body. BUT the EK replica rear lip looks pretty damn close to the OEM. I really like your replica, it fits really good on the sides and that's the main thing i was worried about. THANKS! (caps intended :D) [[[:

So, i ended up buying an OEM one i found to match the color of my car. going to drill holes for it soon, as the USDM bumpers weren't predrilled for the lip. Thanks for all the input guys! :DD
