This one isn't strange per se, excepting of course the ludicrous drivetrain arrangement - not that I (we) should be casting those particular kind of aspersions. I think the only thing better than hounding these is passing and dropping them - I love the rain. This is Val's 993 which I had so much fun with at my last race of the year:
This is the very sick creation I mentioned before - the Ralt RT5 with the BMW V12:

This is the very sick looking SPM RX7 that of all the cars at the track that weekend best represented what happens when one loses ones sense of proportion:

Upon reflection (distorted I fear - and to much of it as well) I have determined that my DESTINY involves the following dubious project: take one Gen-1 CRX, gut and tube frame, FWD - Hewland behind very hot 13B Rotary, Mucho aero splitter and tray, everything that goes in the grill comes out the back of widened front fenders ala old Porsche 935, flat bottom to mega tunnels. It would have a VERY low center of gravity and be a good match for any GT3 car.
Scott, who is afraid of what he would do if he could.....it's all very disturbing....

Referring to your 13B idea. A friend is building a tube frame FWD Mini, with the same huge undertub tunnel with a 180hp KAD engine. I'm using the same shell but putting an H22 drivetrain at the rear. The car is in my sig.
ill add to this pic festival
how about a 700 hp X5??

A friend of mine over in Birmingham, Angelo Roberson has (had? I haven't spoken with Angelo in about a year... Guys do that) the most incredible GT 2nd gen CRX I've ever seen. Tube framed, fiberglassed bodied, FWD... beautiful. He was quite successful in SCCA national competition a few years back, but has since retired from racing. Nevertheless, I think he still has the car.
He brought it out to a test session at Talladega last year. It hadn't run in a few years and had very old tires on it. He wasn't even "pushing" the car hard at all and still murdered all of us.
Damn that car is sweet. Maybe I can find a picture.
Anyway Scott, if you get serious about a tube framed CRX let me know. I'll see if I can hook you up with Angelo.
Scott, who collects as many contacts as he can. They are invaluable sometimes.
It doesn't matter what you're doing, there's someone out there with information that will help you.

BTW, those F1 audio clips are awesome.
