first time in the honda world, and needing some help.
Hey everyone, I recently bought 96 dc2 gsr and it currently only has V2 cai. At the moment I am looking to do all motor power and then when money is more abundant , ill be looking at sc/tc it. So my first questions are what should be done first, (other that the header back exhaust which I am looking to find a comptech or ws2.) as far as cams, valve train,IM's ect... . What are good reliable brands or should I go with itr stuff? At this point i dont have a set hp im looking for, just more power and the basic step to get there. Like I said I am new to the honda world, since coming from a completely DSM past. Thanks in advance for any help you guys post and Im looking forward to keeping an updated thread on the future of the build!
^^for real, and thats for any car.
how are you gonna buy a good header, all motor cams, tunning it N/A ect ect. just to sell it all to start over?

I understand that, but I forgot to mention or was clear that it isn't going to be anytime soon as far as FI its more like someday maybe. I want to go n/a and see how much I could get out of it. But I do understand that n/a and fi components are different. Sorry for the mix up been a long day.lol

Bottom line is you're never going to build a strong all motor car on a budget. To do it properly you need to upgrade to high compression pistons. Which means tearing the motor down and having machine work done. Plus all the stuff that needs replaced like gaskets and what not. Big cams and valve train to support the cams. Good all motor header and exhaust. Plus some kind of program to tune it and of course dyno time. For you I'd suggest getting type R cams or skunk 2 tuner 1's "can use when boosted" Some super tech springs and retainers or if you can find type R springs around. Larger injectors like 340 or so. Hytech rep header and some sort of 2.5" exhaust. Your ecu can be chipped by the place you go to for dyno tuning. Even with this basic setup you're looking at a grand easily. There's decent partial turbo kits out there for that much money.
