Can you be more specific? What do you mean it won't idle? Car won't stay running right after your start it up?

It does crank over and fires up, right?

 

Check your vacuum lines. especially the ones to the egr they may have got switch up in the swap. Or if the egr is stuck open it will cause no idle.

 

no it wont pass 3500 rpms...it starts fine..

 

Do you have a check engine light on at all? You're in limp mode.

 

yes i do have the check engine light on...i changed the harness on the motor and distributor..

 

ECU?

 

changed the ecu...change the throttle body...and everything on the intake manifold...wat could it b....

 

how can i check my ecu codes?

 

If you're OBDI now there is a service connector that's blue behind/beneath the glove box.

Jump the connectors with a paperclip and it'll blink the CEL.

 

how would i kno what the bliking light is telling me...?

 

i searched "how to get codes from a obd1 honda" on youtube

 

What really gets me is you can change all that stuff under the hood yet you don't know how to obtain codes from an OBD1.

Something doesn't add up there.

Sounds like LIMP mode, Tried pulling the fuse for the ECU and resetting everything, if that don't work then look up main causes for LIMP mode and work your way through the causes.

ok, count the blinks....there should be a pause between different codes or the same will repeat.
