Default Ef with b18b jerking while driving.

Hey guys im honestly at a stump!
This morning while going to work i noticed my car was jerking, like when a new driver cant drive stick but not so much!

This only happens at light throttle if i go WOT it feels smooth. i tried it in nutral also at light throttle and it sounds as if the rpm bounces just a little bit.

Please help me!

thanks

If it was fine before, then its likely fuel or ignition related. TPS and MAP sensors can also effect the ECUs fuel/ignition control as well. Check the basics first - distributor, plugs, fuel filter etc.

Use your GPS. J/k With key on & motor off, one pin will show ground, one +5 volts, the other should be around 2.7 volts (+/- half a volt). You will need a pin to stick in the connector as it's connected.

An easy test would be the oxygen sensor. If you unplug it it goes into open-loop (no fuel corrections) and will run better if it's bad. It will also go open-loop WOT, which is why it appears only at light throttle. A bad O2 sensor or the wiring could make it rich/lean at low load and sometimes show no code. If that fixes it, you need to fix the sensor or wiring.

sorry for the late replies. been slammed at work.

sort of like missing. lets say im in 3rd gear at 3000 rpm just holding the throttle to maintain speed. it feels like the fuel cuts on and off or the spark on and off

(it starts jerking)

I would try to remove your IACV and clean it or replace it. Had the same problem a few months ago and this fixed it.

does it only jerk when you gradually let off or get on the throttle? or does it jerk while youre on the throttle? my old ls crx did that every once in a while if i was cruising and let off the pedal or put my foot back on the pedal barely, felt like the back motor mount wasnt attached or some ****. But check what the above posts said about the tps and iacv.

Sounds like a mass air sensor issue or iacv try to uplug the iacv a see if it corrects it self

Did you try calibrating the TPS before?

Sounds like TPS may be intermittently cutting out so the ecu thinks your jabbing the gas and it will want to inject a bunch of fuel to compensate.
