Suggestions/fixes for Interior leak on my '94 LS
I have a 1994 'Teg, just the stock LS, nothing special. I just came across an amazing deal on subs/amp on CL, and when I pulled my seats out and the carpet/board in the hatch to run wires, I noticed a substancial amount of water build up in the dip where my spare tire sits. Earlier in the week I had also noticed that things in my back seat (such as papers, etc) were rather wet, and upon further investigation noticed that my back carpet and floor were soaked, along with the bottom of my rear seats. A friend and I were riding in the car, and I had the drivers and passengers windows cracked to let some fresh air in while it was raining, because the car became rather stuffy. We decided to roll up the windows and crack my sunroof (I have the factory rain guard.) My friends dad suggested that maybe the drainage for my sunroof was plugged up and that is what caused the water to be sitting in my rear floors, seat bottoms, and in the back. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be he source of this problem or any ways to fix it?
Stolen from myself on another thread:
On my 3rd gen, the tailights leaked. I got new gaskets and that didn't do anything. So I went to home depot, and got some self sticking weather stripping foam. I used it to make a circle around the outside of the hole where the tailights meet the trunk, seam at the bottom, then put the new gaskets on and put the tails in. Cranked it in, haven't had a single leak in my trunk since, I used to get a ton of water in there.

You can see how I seated the weather stripping on the right side.

Yeah I just got some black silicone and lined the tailight. The water will creep its way through the tail-light and into the spare tire well. Then when you turn left and right, it will swish around.
When you press on the brake going downhill, it will soak up in the rear seats.
And let me guess, ur car has a SHITLOAD of condensation in the morning and fogs up really quickly? Well guess what, dry out that water with a rag, seal up the tailights for 4$ with some silicone and call it a day!
