I,m in the market for a 5 speed, which generation it the best 90-93 or 95-98.
I,m getting one from the junk yard for $50. I need to get one soon... I blew my automatic up.

Man 50 bucks for a tranny at the junk yard thats cheap hope it works lol...im trying to score a h22 5 speed tranny for my 99 accord....

 

Good luck finding an H22 5spd trans at the JY if thats what you mean. The H22 trans are notorious for 3rd and 5th gear going out. Just save up and get a JDM M2A4 from the get-go, will save you headaches with much less miles on them.

So i guess what Im asking...does anyone have experience with a 90-93 transmission vs. a 94-97? Which one is better?

 

I think they are the same quality wise....but i heard 98-02 manual transmissions are the strongest of the f series
